Ivy in a wedding bouquet... kind of a special Ivy. The girl next door got married last night. It was a beautiful wedding. A few years ago, her grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party. I did not attend, but my neighbor brought me one of the centerpieces the day after, and included with cut flowers, was a sprig of Ivy. After all the cut flowers had died, the Ivy looked good and I sort of forgot about it and when I discovered it again, it had sprouted roots in the vase. I transplanted it in a pot and proceeded to try to grow it. A couple years ago, the grandmother passed away from lung cancer, it was very sad for my neighbors of course. When my dear neighbor, Amie announced she had got engaged, I knew that I had to keep that Ivy alive, and give it to her... and I did. And in her bridal bouquet, was some of the Ivy from her grandmothers 50th wedding anniversary
