I remember at home going into the shops and behind the counter was huge jars of sweets and if I was rich enough a 1/4 lb I would buy. I always said that one day I would buy a pound of sweeties, it never happened.
I remember the Sears near us and the big county counter - the best candy counter in town. It was a treat to go there, literally. Mom always bought the chocolate stars, chocolate covered peanuts and the bridge mix. She always let us pick out something too. We didn't go often but if my brothers and I were well behaved there was alwyas the last stop at the candy counter which was right next to the big Sears toy department.
How fun a great memory of your GM is saved in a beautiful LO. You have the nicest handwriting. I like you included the information on the bingo balls. Well done!
Delish! I love marischino cherries too. The dye my paws red so I get caught sneaking them but YUM! I love the fun-ness of this page. I love how you tied it all to your Granny and how you keep those memories alive to share. You must have had/have a wonderful Granny. This page is wonderful.
