SHCG: A fantastic response to 2 challenges. Your journaling is so awesome. All the pictures are fantastic (my two favorites are of the three of you and the tripod-ing). I love how you have the title coming out towards us. The xoxo brads (?) are so cool and that is perfect placement for them.

shcg - LOVE. One little technical thing I'd do just because the OCD in me is going insane. On your milestone list, I'd pull out a black pen and a ruler and underline "6 month photos". Like I said, my totally OCD side coming out. ;)

Boy Meets World (spring 2011) - SHCG "Boob Tube" & "Tattoos" Challenges

This my response to 2 Scrap Happenzz Critique Group Challenges – my own Boob Tube Challenge from Aug 2011 (to do a LO named after a TV show – I never watched “Boy Meets World” but I remember that was the name of a show!) & Lisa/Gelidy Gelato’s Tattoos Challenge from Oct 2011 (to do something inspired by tattoos).

This is my 3rd post-baby LO! This covers spring 2011. Pardon how the new scanner chops off the edges…

I knew I wanted to use these Prima watercolor papers the second I read Lisa’s challenge, I envisioned bright colors against a peach/flesh background but it was too much to color in all the background, oh well! This is based off Sketches by Suzy sketch #7 (I LOVE her sketches).

Journaling: Spring 2011 began with a wonderful week w/ Caruso’s Grandpa Sal & Grandma Eden visiting from TX! We luckily got them a rental apt minutes away in Washy. We saw them everyday, Mom cooked up lots of food for us, Dad fixed our coatrack but most of all we spent valuable, amazing quality time together! Meanwhile after research & thinking we chose _______ (run by highly competent, organized & knowledgeable Cath V) as his daycare. After 5 awesome mos off w/ Caruso, I went back to work & Greg started his 2 mos of paternity leave – what a Dada! He took phenomenal care of Caruso & they bonded beautifully, so proud of them both. Working was an adjustment but I managed; G’s frequent pics, video & updates helped a lot. Being 40 was an adjustment too but those around me help me realize how truly special this life is. Caruso loved playing in his Exersaucer, sitting in his Bebe Pod (like a Bumbo) w/ its toy tray, playing w/ assorted toys/rattles/musical stuff, his bouncy (he can finally reach & pull the musical whale!), etc. Mostly he liked interacting w/ people- being held, sang to, talked to. At some point, after initial months of his sleeping in the crib, we started cosleeping (he was now bigger, I was back to sleeping on the wall side & we were confident in my being in sync & aware of him through the night), which helped w/ nighttime nursing a great deal – it was blissful to sleep so close (he still slept & napped in the crib at times). Caruso started daycare & really thrived! Catherine was excellent, we definitely made a great choice in her. Once Caruso started solids, G started making his food in the Beaba my parents gave us. We had lots of fabulous ongoing visits from Charlie & Shelly. This season, Caruso also met Amy L, the ___ family (Ronda, Mark & Noah), the ___ family (Nanci, Jamie, Sami, Julia, Emily & Jesse), Mike R., G’s crew at wk (Devon, Lindsey, Kylie), Pam L & Chris DV – great visits! Caruso is soo fun to watch & be with. That megawatt smile – love love love.

I also list various milestones of Caruso’s during this time.
