Howdy! This is a layout I made for the Swirlydoos UDC Week #1 (of 6...)... the challenge was to make a layered embellishment out of a paper or chipboard base diecut that incorporated at least 2 art mediums such as gesso, inks, crackle past or others. For my entry, I made a beautiful guardian angel that is watching over my beautiful niece Emily, who passed away at the age of 4 months.
I used metal for the wings, vellum for the body (2 layers), grunge board for the dress that I covered with tissue paper to simulate fabric, and many layers of alchohol inks, gesso and gold leaf rub. Enjoy!

So touching...I am so sorry about your loss...I know it is. I lost my grandson back in September he was only 30hrs old. I have thought about doing a similar page but havent brought myself to it yet..it's the hardest thing ever..big hugs Dianne
