This is so soft and pretty! I love the flowers and punching!! I had a blanket like that when I was little and I always sucked on the ends of it. One day my mom cut the ends off and I was so upset! I remember crying until my dad got home from work. Lol!
Love the page...you did great on the design and the distressing! Love that you tucked a piece of the original blanket in the design and love your poem.
I LOVE this layout!!!!!! The "Blankie" is security to many little ones. When my son was a baby I made him a little cloth giraffe. He dragged it everywhere, one day I felt like I just had to run it thru the washer. He almost got hysterical when I told him it was in the washer. He ended up being ok, couldn't wait for it to be dry. Your little girl probably felt like her "security" was gone:) Glad to hear she loves her new blankie:)
my dd is a blanket baby. she fell in love with this blankie at just a few weeks old. It was a hand me down so by the age of two she had worn it out. I could no longer sew it back together. We had to take it away and give her a new one. We had a few sleepless nights but she now loves her new blanket. The poem reads Dont take my blanket dont take it away, i want to drag it around while i play. to me its ok dirty and grey, dont take my blanket away. I might get lonely, I might get scared, I need to know my blanket is near. Dont take my blanket, dont take it away. I want to drag it around while I play. To me its ok dirty and gray. I might get angry, I might cry. I need to know my blanket is there.
I cut a piece of the silk of of the blanket and tucked it in with the flowers in the corner.
