LOVE the gnome. This page is rich with amazing detail and texture and design. The edges with the leather lacing are beyond words cool.. This is the type of page I would love to see up close and touch.
Wow!! What a photo! I love the colors you chose to scrap it with, then I zoomed in, and saw all the metal chain, sequins, bearls and bling and was just wowed by the details. Fantastic random lacing and the little gnome who roams is a sweet touch~
Hi my friend, took me some time to look at your layout now and as always I love it! The gnome made my smile, thats what I like about your layouts, It is interresting to look at.Love the story of culture and the way you did the title is amazing. All the chains, jewelry and eyelets , all around the page. And then suddenly there is this gnome! Super!
WOW - you've really captured the magnificence of this glorious landscape - love how you included bits for family members - the lacing at the bottom is wonderful ~
First comment is - be sure to come and stay with me if you intend to visit England any time! The Cornish people refer to their fairy folk as piskies too, who knows why?! Love all the imagery here. beautiful.
You managed to recreate the colors and the feel of the photo in your layout in a fabulous way. In combination with the stunning techniques, a sure winner!
I love how you scrapped this beautiful photo!! The colours and pp's are just perfect and compliment the photo!! Love the embellies, distressing and lacing!! We visited there just last year and almost got blown away to Ireland...but we loved it!! Cornwall is very beautiful!!
This is spectacular Melissa! Lovin the panoramic photos you have been using...so beautiful! The micro beads are awesome..a great way to add colour; that little gnome is so cute! Awesome title alphas, the Swarovski jewels are beautiful! The lacing is is superb and adds more wonderful texture!
beautiful as allways....I live here in Cornwall and all scenery is beautiful but then I'm bias I was born and bred here, in an hour you can drive the length of Cornwall and even less across the width!!! any how this page is fabulous x
Oh, how adorable is that little gnome - the chain and lacing suit this page perfectly. Awesome metal charm at the top and a very pretty butterfly: Pretty gems throughout. Great pic too. Very innovative design.
A photo taken by my Mother in law, who grew up in Devon. The gnome is a reference to my husband, who likes them. Hes also standing for pixies , a little bit like fairies , from mythology that live at Dartmoor but all over Cornwall and Devon too. The piece of Swedish wrapping ppr at the upper right and the garden scene at the left edge stand for my FIL. He likes to keep the traditions of Swedish culture. Not far from here is Tintagel, where King Arthur, according to legend but not disproved, was born. I did a lo of it awhile ago. The photos from Tintagel were spectacular, some of the most beautiful countryside, just awe inspiring. Its high up on cliffs by the ocean. Thanks for looking, and any comments are most welcome! Also, the texture paste is put on with a stencil made by using different sized round punches on a piece of cardboard. I used a doily at the top and bottom,in small areas. The alphas have layers of stuff, gesso, paint, crackle , ink, embossing powders. I used embossing powder also without a heat gun . I put a thin layer of clear accents on and the loose powder sticks. I thought it gave an interesting look. I tried to make the paper look like waves in the beginning by spraying with water, then making "waves" . They dont show up too well, but sometimes thats how it goes ,lol.
