My first lo for Lain's LOAD challenge - one layout every day of February, following her daily prompts! Today's prompt was to produce a lo without words. I wanted to scrap this pic for a while - a couple of long lines of scooters- you see them everywhere in Rome - especially with that perfect background paper! I found the map of Italy via Google (finding one without any place names on it was another challenge!) and the flag, together with the little pic of Michelangelo's David, gave the final identifiers of Italy. Fun to do, but once done, I added my title! Although this is an old proverb meaning 'there are many ways to the same goal' when I looked it up, I discovered that the first English form appears to be “Right as diverse pathes leden the folk the righte wey to Rome.” by Chaucer (Prologue, ll. 39–40), in 1391. His tomb can still be found in Westminster Abbey, London!
