Wednesday July 18th, 2012 – Today we docked in our first port, Juneau, Alaska.

We boarded the ship on Sunday – this is our third day already! Monday morning Bill woke up with a lower intestinal tract bug and was miserable all day. So glad it was a sea day, he just stayed comfortable in bed. I ordered food from room service and played about 2000 computer Free Cell games.

Bill was feeling a little bit better on Tuesday but still not over the bug. We spent the entire day cruising by the glaciers in Tracy Arm – absolutely breathtaking! We were able to get some good photos (shown on the two previous scrapbook pages).

Today was Wednesday – our first port day of the cruise and I woke up with the lower tract intestinal bug Bill struggled with the past 2 days. It was my turn to pull the covers over my head and sleep all day. There was no way I could venture out to explore Juneau so I sent Bill out with the camera to get good pictures so I could see what I missed.

I especially wanted to see the famous Red Dog Saloon – that didn't work out but I did get the next best thing – Bill got a good photo of it for me. I love the photo Bill took of the sign at one of the local bars, “HUSBAND DAY CARE CENTER… Need to Relax? Want to go shopping? Leave your husband with us & we will look after him for you! You only need to pay for his drinks!”
