A new day and my birthday! We leave New Orleans and head east on Highway 90. We had to wait 15 minutes for the drawbridge to rise for ship travel on the inter-coastal canal. It was fun to watch but the people who live here thought I was crazy getting out of the car to take photos. A truly tourist moment. I made the bridge from a cricut cartridge and chalked it. The barge I adapted from a cruise ship die cut. TFL!

OMHeck, I love your bridge die. What cartridge did you use to get that? As a kid my dad had us travel every summer. School would let out and the next day we were packed in a car heading south. We got stopped at lots of drawbridges and my mom often took pictures. I need to find this and make one for my sister and I. Fun page.

How funny! Yep, they could all tell you were a tourist. I grew up in Miami with drawbridges and so did Bill and they still fascinate us. Love the drawbridge with the fleur d' lises on them. Very cute touch. I love the fleur d' lises on your Louisiana stuff.
