Have yourself a timeless holiday season. The Tim Holtz Alterations line of products for Sizzix captures all the classic imagery of the season, while allowing you to branch out creatively in bold new directions.
Cut cardstock to size and fold in half to form card base. Center the Cameo Frame die over the card front and die-cut. Fold the card front back on itself widthwise. This front flap will be the base for the cardinal scene to adhere to. Cut another piece of cardstock the same size as the original card front, before it was folded. This cardstock will be adhered later on to the front flap. Emboss the free piece of cardstock using the Postcard and Chevrons embossing folders. Highlight the embossed design with ink. Center the Cameo Frame die over the embossed cardstock and cut a window in the cardstock. Stamp snowflakes onto a piece of vellum and attach the vellum to the back of the embossed cardstock. Attach the embossed cardstock to the flap on the front of the card. Die-cut the Christmas Cardinal out of cardstock, Die-cut additional Leaves out of cardstock. Embellish the Christmas Cardinal, Branch and Leaves with ink, flocking and German glass glitter. Attach the Christmas Cardinal to the card front. Cut a strip of patterned paper and adhere inside the card. Stamp with designs. Die-cut a Tag out of cardstock, stamp with a sentiment, distress with ink and attach to the inside of the card. Embellish with an appliqué flower accent. Finish by placing a battery-powered tea light behind the vellum window to light the scene.
