What a lovely bit of indulgence this was today! My dear old Dad died three years ago, but it was wonderful to look back (especially with this photo that I have framed in my kitchen!) and to match up some of the things that he wrote about me, with this page which I've dedicated to him! We gave all our parents a book about 6 or 7 years ago, called 'Dear Dad' (or Dear Mum) which gave suggestions and prompts for them to answer questions - what was I like when I was little; what would you change about me; how did you meet my Mum - if your folks are the least bit inclined to journal (and my dad always was) then it is a lovely keepsake - and my Dad filled in so much! I scanned his writing from the book and included a few quotes. My challenge from Lain Ehmann today was to scrap something about yourself, and to use your favourite scrappy loves - mine are ribbons and bling and journalling! I could use my Dad's words and writing about me on this one.
