We were hoping to see a lot of wild animals at Yellowstone National Park and we weren't disappointed, we certainly got a window to nature at its best!

We spotted the Bison on the upper left walking along side of traffic as if he didn't have a care in the world. You can see that he is walking right along traffic! Then a little further we spotted a field full of bison!

Bill pulled off to the side of the road and I rolled down my window and snapped away. That was until the biggest, baddest looking bison started strolling straight for our van – my open window to be more precise. Bill kept saying, “Keep snapping – you are going to get great pictures – keep snapping!”

It was pointless to keep snapping because he was so close I couldn't get his face in the picture. Then when his face was about 6' from mine I rolled up the window with Bill still saying, “Keep snapping – these are going to be fantastic pictures!”

Bill asked, “Why did you roll up your window?” I told him the bison had horns and they were just a few feet from me and he was still coming closer to my window. Rolling up my window seemed like a good idea.

Bill gave me the talk about how he wasn't going to hurt me. Fine, but he was on my side of the van, not Bill's. And he had two big buddies with him!

Unfortunately, none of those pictures turned out. His face was so close only part of him was in the picture and that part was very blurry. Partially because he was so close, partially because the photographer (me) was getting a little nervous.
