MALE ELK – Once again we saw cars pulled over and parked for ¼ mile in either direction on both sides of the road but couldn't see anything. Bill asked if I wanted to go see what everyone was looking at and of course I did! The embankment was too steep for me to get down, several people were not able to get down but I could still see two magnificent male elk grazing in the tall grass. I got decent pictures with the zoom and Bill went down the embankment and got close enough to get incredible pictures.
If they had not turned and walked away I could have just stood there staring at these two animals all day.
