This is just stunning side by side. I love the gears on the fish die cuts. Sometimes it can be a struggle coming up with a masculine page so it is awesome to see fresh ideas and perspectives. I must keep track of your work as I think your talent is inspiring!
This is my first two page LO and my first "all about me" layout which was pretty weird to be honest. However, offshore fishing is my one true passion so it was fun. Of course I used mostly Tim Holtz products with regards to inks, stains and embellishments, however I handcrafted a few of my own for this LO. Notice the fish, wooden sign and fishing rod. All of these I handcrafted myself and I was really pleased with the fishing rod. For that I sanded and painted a woodedn rod then used wired for the eyelets. For the reel I cut out two circles in some cardstock and embossed them using a silver embossing powder which I then glued on onto a piece of the wooden rod to make the reel spool. Then I just added the string. I had fun with the lettering too by using to fishing corks (or bobbers if you are from Texas) that I cut out from some paper I had in order to the "i's". Then to add a little "flare" I stain and painted a starfish and sand dollar which I think was just perfect. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy!
