This is a page for my daughter's poppy princess book. The journaling reads: For Patriot Day, my school asked that everyone wear red, white, and blue. I asked my mom to make me a dress out of patriotic material for this event. I had on the most red, white, and blue of anyone at school. In observance of Patriot Day we had a short program for the whole school. In my classroom, Mrs. Rodriguez asked everyone to sit quietly while we watched a video about the twin towers and the devastation that took place on September 11, 2001.
