How cool that you have taken the time to gather all of their memorabilia and place with the picture of them. This makes the page a true scrapbook page : ]
This is a marvelous lo; love the mostly neutral colours with the touch of ruby red! All the items that belonged to your parents are so perfectly placed and the layers, distressing and shapes are impeccable!! The hidden journaling is delightful and so witty! CSI is lucky to have you as their GSI!
Your pages are true treasures, they always are pure embodiments of the idea of scrapbooking! They have history, real keepsakes and priceless photos!! LOVE looking through your gallery!

This is great, Natalie! Beautiful layout, love the pics and your journalling is so fun. So special that you used items belonging to your parents as part of the page. Congrats on the GDT spot-they're blessed to have you!
I really like using hidden journalling on a layout and the fact that this one is a post card is a perfect touch. Great imagination on the layout of this one. A lot of thought and talent combined went into the creation of it. Letting us know the story behind it was a fun read too! Great job!
So very FABulous! Love the muted grays with the black metals, the elongated photo look of the 2 photos pieced together, and all the details!! They are so lucky to have you as a Guest Investigator~you do an amazing job with their challenges :)
This is amazing! I love the fun honeymoon photo and your journaling about what you imagined your mom would have written about the photo. The personal items used on the page that belonged to your parents are not only beautifully placed but are the perfect sentimental touches to reflect who your parents were. Love it!
Congrats on your CSI adventure, so well deserved! Wonderful, wonderful, and wonderful lo!!! Lots of key ingredients added that relate to your folks, outstanding idea!
Oh Natalie...huge congrats to you ...I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to snap you up :) Absolutely love this layout!! Looove the layers and distressing too!! Huge fave!!
Fabulous and such funny pics. You've done a great job joining the photos and I love that you've added personal momentos to this LO , and also the Layering and Textures .
What a great page! Good job putting the photos together, it makes for a great effect. I'm amazed at all of the personal touches you managed to include. Very fun!
Another awesome LO - My ex-husband and I went to Williamsburg on our honeymoon too in 1965, love how you merged the two photos - your hidden journaling on the postcard is wonderful and I love how you incorporated things belonging to your parents - also love the few touches of red in this otherwise B&W LO - this is a FAVE for me ~
I saw it already at CSI, another stunning page you made here! And I love the idea that there are personal belongings on the LO. And for sure this is a fav to me!
Congrats Natalie! Great page and creative photo! Love the personal embellies and the pop of red that makes me think of the love they shared. Beautiful creation and memories!
FABULOUS work Natalie!!! What a great old photo!!! I love how you used so many personal items here & your journaling on the back of the post card is so funny! Congrats on the Guest Special Investigator spot!!! They are lucky to have you!!!
Gorgeous!! The distressed/torn layers and pops of red are fabulous. Beautiful design and details. Adding the personal items from your parents is a perfect touch. Such a wonderful keepsake.
I am pleased to announce that I was invited to be a Guest Special Investigator for CSI this month of April! This is my page for CSI #66 I used all five required colors. Evidence: buttons, arrows, something fuzzy (flocked paper), ribbon, hearts (large metal heart), holes - washers. Testimony: A layout about my parents on their honeymoon in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1947. I have handwritten the journaling as a postcard. This is on the back of the actual postcard seen on the left side of the layout. The postcard can be slipped out by pulling the attached string, (which is not visible in this photo). The prompt was to write something funny about the subject, and I chose to write, as I imagined my Mom would write, on the back of the card. We were asked to use some of the inspiration words, and I chose to use the word - point.
The journal as a postcard reads: "Hello Everyone! Well, here we are, and wouldn't you know it, married life is not what it's cracked up to be!!! Case in point: we got hitched and look what happened, we were immediately thrown into the stocks!!! Marriage has made us laughingstocks, bound and jailed for the rest of our days. Why didn't anyone tell us this???!!! Sue & Ernie P.S. Just kidding, we're having a great time!!!"
I used a lot of personal items belonging to my parents on this page. The photo is actually 2 separate photos which I pieced together to make one photo. The large tarnished heart (bottom left) is a bookmark that belonged to my Mom. Also the silver button above the postcard, and the tiny red crystal buttons belonged to her. The postcard is actually an old postcard from her collection of postcards. The Joker card belonged to my Dad, as did all of the many washers on this layout. The key and lock surround were part of his collection of old hardware, and the watch face is set into an old watch back of his.
Thank you to all who look at this page, I appreciate it so very much!!!
