With the Susan's Garden collection for Sizzix, you can create your own life-like flowers, including roses! Put your own personal touch on any project with embellishments that truly blossom.
Die-cut a Rose out of cardstock. The calyx (base) and leaves should be in green and the petals in your favorite color (i.e., white, pink or red). You will need to cut petals at least six times to get the fullness needed to complete flower, two calyx and three to four leaves. Shape, pinch and bend petals, according to the Rose die set's instructional PDF or video Cup the calyx. Starting with the larger petals, glue in place one petal per projection on the calyx. Repeat for each of the petals. The next round of petals will be offset from these base petals and use the second and third largest petals to do so on the second calyx. Glue this second calyx to the first with a small amount of glue in the center. Continue to fill in with petals, offsetting from the last row, ending with the smallest petals towards the center. Adhere completed flower to a decorative bottle and embellish with ribbon.
