I am sorry you are feeling so down about your scrapping but I have to tell you this is fabulous. I love that it is grubby and grungy and still not dark to me. Good for you to just get into it and let yourself go.
Such a great page - it is different from your usual pages - but great, too! Any attempts I've ever made to do anything like this style still come out "cutesy"... This isn't dark and gloomy - just has masculine appeal :)
If this is what you create when you're feeling dark and gloomy then you should go into that mode more often...lol!!! You create beautifully no matter what mood you're in and somehow I missed this but then again I seem to be running out of time every day and 24 hours a day is just not enough:) Beautiful layout Vija :)x Oh, and thanks so much for the lovely comment :)
This is really cool. I don't think it is dark and gloomy at all, its a great masculine lo, gritty and a bit grungy, just like the London underground. I like this.
Super page, all you told about making this, I know the feeling so well! Going through my stash. looking for stuff, ending up, just doing something. Well, yours turned out super!! The colors and design , love it, fav!
This is surely outside your comfort zone (not your usual style). But I must say - it is FABULOUS!!! It seems that the therapy of "chucking" paint around has unleashed a creative powerhouse!!! I can't tell you how happy I am to see that you took some time to scrap. Hopefully we will be seeing more in the days to come - soft, frilly and feminine sounds like a good place to start. HUGS to you my sweet friend.
I love the dark and moody atmosphere you created here, Vija. Your page is stunning and very creative. I love your talent!!!!! And I think that scrapping can be wonderful therapy and has helped me through my darkest hours! I am so happy to see you scrapping, my sweet friend. Been thinking about you!
very wonderful and eyecatching page ..love that foto of james and so love your display of detailing and the masking ..scrapping is definitely theraputic lol fave and more...xo
wish my moody dabbling came out looking this awesome!! Glad to see you scrapping again; love the brick masking and all the interesting details you've added-the bg looks so cool!
This is a wonderful page, Vija - so very British - sometimes it's good to move out of our comfort zone - I'm so glad that you were able to scrap again and found it therapeutic - great job with the paint and masking ~
Well..this is awesome!!! Love your dabbling, so much wonderful texture on this piece! The banner is superb with the bat flying thru it!! Absolutely filled with detail and a great photo, a wonderful work of art!
Wow, Vija! This is so creative! I've been in a slump lately too and have gotten nowhere, but I could never come up with this fabulous creation! It's very masculine and I found myself just studying every little detail. Great job!
Wonderful page! I know what you mean about hours spent getting nowhere. Same here. However you did a wonderful job on this. I don't dab and paint or stencil. Just haven't done it yet I guess. But I love looking at this kind of style. Great job.
I love it Vija! This is so very grungy, masculine and very cool! Not dark & gloomy. Perfect colors for this awesome pic of your son. It's good not to be locked into one style - shows your versatility! Fabulous details and techniques! FAVE for me!
I know what you mean cold and rainy day here is it also.... then you can better stay at home and made a scrappy time And I can see that you are very much attention to this page so stunning page love the texsture !!!
It was a wet, cold miserable day here and I thought what a great day to try and motivate myself to do some scrapping again. I shuffled photos & papers around for a couple of hours getting nowhere fast and then decided I needed to just 'get into it' and have a play with my neglected crafting supplies and this was the result. I have to say it was very therapeutic & the end result really sums up my mood "dark & gloomy". I think now I need to create something pretty & feminine. The photo is of my son James in one of the London underground stations taken a couple of years ago. I have done a bit of masking but mainly I have just dabbled and chucked paint around. Not my usual style, but then again I don't really know what is anymore. TFL.
