My friend Nancy taught me a technique to make these birch trees and this was my first attempt.
I used watercolors for the background, then I squeezed out some black, brown and white acrylic paint on my craft sheet. Using an old gift card, I applied the paint to the journal page moving my hand in the same motion I would use to write a lowercase "u".
I may go back at some point and put some leaves on them, but for now, this is it.
