Wonderful layout! Love the symbolism of the numbers paper. Hope you have layouts with this story about the property for future generations to remember! :)
Great Lift Betsey!! It is so cool that you have all this information and have scrapped it so well. I love that you used the numbered paper since he was a 'numbers-guy". How apropos. I also love the journey tag attached with the small safety pin. Awesome!
This is a a wonderful lift Betsey! (Better than mine :) ) I love the story and the photo. Just perfect, the numbers, the tickets, colors and the key! Favorite!
This is so spectacular!! I am so loving it. Just beautiful. Love the red to offset the b&w photo. What a great picture to have and to know his story from then.
This is for a challenge on Rockin' Scrapin' Grans where we had to scraplift from another members gallery, and we were given the name of the member from which to lift!
Here ya go Tish.......do you recognize this one???? LOL I used Recollections Union Square for the background, some scraps and a piece of unknown maker which is full of numbers.....a tribute to My Dad who was a "numbers-guy" his entire life. This is a very early photo of him, long before he was married, I am guessing 1926-27 when he lived in Hollywood, FL. He left there after the hurricane of 1929, saying "no one is ever going to live in this godforsaken land"!!!!! It has become the family joke, he sold all the properties he had acquired, and moved to Chicago. The property he sold was what is now allllll of downton Hollywood Florida! Hmmmmmmm! He went to work at a company in Chicago where he met my Mother who was the payroll clerk and handed him his paycheck every Friday. He always said the trade-off was worth every penny! LOL
