Give a Cheer
I had been thinking about wanting to do this layout for a few weeks now. As the hidden journaling states we were at church a few weeks ago when our Pastor was speaking on Grace and he defined it as 'a gift from God that we dont deserve', it got me reflecting on how that is Jolies middle name also and it is so fitting that she is more than I ever deserved and what a blessing she is to me.
My inspiration for this layout came from the Scrapbook Inspiration challenge where I was given the layout Lifelong Friends by Maggi43 to scraplift ( The layout had alot of beautiful punched border details. I only have one border punch so I found some other options for my border work. I cut the large scalloped circle on my Cricut, used a bitty stamp to stamp a scroll border the whole way around and did some blending ink work. I then also deconstructed a pearl embellishment to add pearl detail to the points of the scallops. The photo mat detail was done with some handstitching where I added crystal beads to each stitch. I added some velum accent circles, rub on scroll work, and flowers. I also created the paper pieced cross with birds. There is hidden journaling with an additional picture behind the main picture that is raised up.
