Cassie is so lucky to have a Mom who is so dedicated to preserving these wonderful times in her life. WONDERFUL two page multi photo lo. Love that you use the same format, but each lo looks fresh and so beautifully done.
This is an amazing layout! I love the ones you do for the dance recitals - I love the single shots of her and the all the small individual shots. You do a gorgeous job on these dance layouts - I love them!
These are the group portrait and dress rehearsal pics from one of Cassie's 9 dances in her 2011 recital -- one of two by her modern class. This dance was to So, In This Hour... by The Rocket Summer.
I always do a single page LO for each of her individual portraits that I try to match to the costume and song and a coordinating 2 page LO for the group portrait and action shots. I decided back when she first started having multiple dances in the shows not to try and reinvent the wheel each time, so they all have this format - group shot on the left and action shots arranged across the rest of the 2 pages with pp's and embellies that match the single portrait. This one has the most photos I've used on one of these so far - 23 candids + the formal group portrait. This was Cassie's first year to take modern, so there were a lot of photos I wanted to use even though they aren't the best because of the things she was doing that were new to her at the time. Hence the strange back fall and backward roll shots. It's busy, but I like the way it turned out, and she loves it. You can see the single portrait LO for this dance as well as my other completed dance LO's in my Dance LO Album in my Gallery.
I embossed the two red and the onyx cardstocks with a clockworks pattern and used the metal clocks to go with the 'time' theme. I stamped and heat embossed the white boxes and outlined them with pewter ultrafine glitter. I also put some red ultrafine glitter in a few places on the LO. I didn't have a sewing machine at the crop I went to this weekend, so I replicated machine zigzag stitching with white thread by hand to try and match the single portrait LO. I cut the title on my Cricut - it shows up better IRL. The journaling includes the class level, teacher, day & time of the class, and the names of the girls in the dance. I also wrote her teacher's dedication from the program at the bottom of the LO: "Miss Kimmy was able to make a few special appearances to choreograph this dance with me. She is such an inspiration, so we'd like to dedicate this dance to her!" (I messed it up originally - it's fixed now, but I didn't take a new photo.)
