You so totally nailed the steam punk/masculine look!!! It's really difficult for me to do masculine LO's but you obliviously don't have that problem. This is really beautiful!
Oh Renea, you've outdone yourself! Draven will love this and how cool it is that your sister is a professional photographer. Look forward to seeing more!
Sorry such a delay Renea...... Totally get the whole using of 'hoarded pprs' thing, I have so many, lol.
What a great masculine, distressed & grungey lo. Great mixed media background, metal pieces & the perfect match of the blue really pops with the 'trendy' chevrons - you must be so proud! :))
Fabulous masculine work Renea!!! And he's so handsome!!! My dgd Ashley is going into her senior year also. dd Jen Jen is taking her senior pix & I just got a sneak preview too! There are so many fab photos but I'm going to wait to scrap them until she actually gives out the photos.... Don't want them to be "old news"! Such an exciting time for them & of course as parents & grandparents we are so very proud! Fab work, as always!
A very trendy awesome and cool male lo. The photo is wonderful of your handsome young man and the chevrons are a startling colour. Love the cogs and brickwork adding great texture.
Handsome photo, love the design, chevrons, eyelets and the way you tied the string through them, colors, pprs, rusty gears. Ha!I understand about not wanting to use things or give them up.
This is amazing, Renea! The design and all the masculine details are marvelous! I have some of that collection hoarded too, I've not been able to part with them yet. I love this page so maybe it's time...
What a great masculine page! Love all the distressing, little tools and trinkets and how you pulled from the color of his shirt with the arrows. Love this page!
Here we are at the end of July, and it is time for my monthly reveal at Scrapmatts Australian Chipboard. It's almost time for school to start back for us, and I can't believe that my son Draven is going to be a Senior this year!! My sister, Tammy, owns a portrait studio All About Smiles Photography, and she and my son have been going to various places and doing his Senior photos. I have only got to see a sneak of a few that she has done, and most of them have her watermark through them, until she gives me the final copy, but I did manage to sneak one out that didn't have the watermark-lol!
The Design Team was asked to do a layout using one or some of the "trendy" items in the scrapbook world, so this is my layout, using my son's photo, and some of those trendy chevrons.
I had some Bo Bunny Cambridge papers that I had hoarded up a while back, and they were perfect for Draven's photo, so I petted them, closed my eyes and started cutting and distressing. I did lots of texture work, paper tearing, rolling, and inking on this one.
I love this layout!! I have decided that I am going to take this one, and some of the others I plan to scrap from the photo shoot, and put them in a keepsake box and give them to him when he graduates. That is, if I can bear to part with them ;)
Ahuge thank you to all of you who stop by and leave me such sweet comments~they are music to my soul~ Hugs, Renea
