This is me in the summer of 1953. I was born and raised in California, but my dad was originally from Colorado, so we spent many summers there visiting his family and friends. He took this particular photo in Colorado Springs at what we referred to as the Old Printers' Home. He was a printer and knew several people who had retired there. Back in the day, the Typographical Union ran the facility, apparently as part of the members' benefit package.

This was created for the Heritage challenge and will also be entered in the HOARDERS and Cricut challenges, and the Compliment Corner.
