Friday – November 2, 2012 – Today we visited the beautiful city of Saint John, New Brunswick. The fall leaves in this part of Canada are still showing off their beautiful red, gold and yellow colors!

The tours were all ridiculously expensive so we talked to a few cab drivers to see how much they would charge to go to the places we really wanted to see. Two other couples were also looking for a driver to take them on a custom tour so we joined together and the price was only $35.00 for each couple for a nice tour in a comfortable mini-van. If anyone wanted to take a picture the driver pulled over so we could all get out and snap away. He also gave a great history lesson along the way.

One really interesting things in Saint John is the Reversing Rapids. The Reversing Rapids is a series of rapids on the St. John River, a unique phenomenon caused by the tremendous tide in the Bay of Fundy, a 170-mile-long ocean bay on Canada's east coast. I took a lot of pictures but in a snapshot you can't tell that the rapids were doing anything unusual so the pictures were nothing spectacular.
