This was soooo worth the time you put into it! What a great page! All the little details are terrific with the story/pic. I think my favorite thing, though, is the papers..the colors and patterns just seem so sentimental and give such a perfect feel for a sophisticated, but also loving family, lo...I don't know, it just really tugs on my heartstrings somehow.
My paternal grandfather. Born in NJ in 1880 and lived to nearly 93. The last five years of his life he spent weeks at a time at our home - during that time, especially when I was home on breaks I was lucky enough to spend time with him. He was smart (Phi Beta Kappa) and talented, he was a landscape designer who did the grounds at Menlo Park and areas in Central Park. He also had a great sense of humor. I miss him still. For September Inspiration Challenge, I was given this amazing lo by Omacarmen to lift:
I did 2 twists - a grandparent and a quote. the quote is from my grandpa "no matter how old I get I learn something new every day". Also for 4 Categories - #1 with the twist - to use 10 brads. Finally for Hoarders as many (most of the embellishments are old). Journaling is on the tag. Other products used: studio calico wood veneer border and word; prima clock face; 7 gypsies key and stick pin; Bo Bunny stamp on the tag; autumn Leaves stamp on the quote box;Quickutz die for the quote box, Fiskars and MS punches
