This photo was for the Redwood School for Cerebral Palsy yearbook. The school founding in 1953 was inspired by Cheryl Woods, who was born with Cerebral Palsy. My grandparents were good friends with the Woods family and helped raised money and obtain volunteers to build the school. 50 years later I called the school to notify them that my grandmother had passed. The elderly lady then asked if I was the granddaughter that used to come and play with the children. That would be me (age 4-8). I also told them that I had seen Cheryl the previous month and she was living in the same nursing home as my grandmother. The school had actually started in that building!
