At last, sorry so behind...
Loving the vintage colour palette & your back story is amazing! Gorgeous trinket & key on what seems to be a wonderful envelope with old script. I am always worried when trying a new product but hey, if we don't try?.... As others have said, a great heirloom to have :))

Alice, you did a fabulous job on this heritage layout! I do so love the story and it's so special that you could use the keepsake napkin. Love the metal trinkets and all your embellies. I have glassine paper and I still haven't used any. Just not really sure what to use it for and how to use it. Guess I need some pointers!
What a wonderful story and I love how you have included the napkin with the drawing on it!! I have never used glassine, but I would imagine that it isn't that easy, so I think you did a fab job with it!! Beautiful page!!!
Wowza Alice this breathtaking and totally stunning! Love the fussy cutting vintage lace and metal. I love the envelope! I'm not familiar with that. Lovely family story and keepsake.
The center image is a copy of a drawing by cartoonist and family friend, Frank Fogarty. He was the creator of the cartoon, Clarence, published in the New York Journal from 1929 to 1948. He also worked on the cartoon, Mr. and Mrs., in the New York Tribune from 1924 to 1963. He drew it in pencil on a linen napkin at the wedding reception of my parents. It is yellowed with age, but remains a family keepsake.
The "Lord Baltimore" reference is because during the depression, my grandfather had to travel between Baltimore and New York to work so he could support his family.
The journaling is in the glassine envelope in the upper right hand corner. This was my first time working with glassine envelopes, and I'm ashamed to admit that I used up the whole pack before I could get one that was half-way acceptable. I ended up using Perfect Pearls and a rubber stamp.
