These are photos from a day my dd and I spent at the pool with my bff, her husband, and their 4 kids in July 2008. It follows the 'a Sleep Over' LO that is in my gallery - Cassie and I spent a weekend at their house to celebrate all the kids' birthday and so Karen and I could scrap. :)

I'm not happy with the way this LO photographed - the blue wigged out my camera, and it is SO much softer and not electric blue looking IRL. Also the faces aren't dark at all.

This is my example for my September Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Light Blue. The twist this month is texture. I applied several layers of small pieces of masking tape to the bg behind the two 4x6's and painted over it with gesso. Then, I stamped with Tumbled Glass ink and masked with Patina GM over the gesso. Also for texture, I dry embossed all the red circles, used sequined arrows, used a glittered alpha, and popped the clouds up on foam tape.

Also for this month's VLB challenge to use at least three types of circles on a LO - I have masked circles, cardstock circles embossed with a circle pattern, and gem circles scattered around to look like beads of water. Then, I suppose if we're counting, I also have the sequins on the arrows and the polka dots on the washi. LOL
