These photos are copies of my paternal great-great-great-great grandparents. They are the parents of John Albert Stilwell, Sr; who happens to be my great great great grandfather. These pictures are said to be the first pictures they had made. It said to be taken around 1850. Shortly after these photos were taken. Joseph, died at age of about 65. His wife Mary, lived for another ten years. She died about 1860. At the same age of about 65.
They were born and raised and married in Virginia. After starting their family they decided to take a wagon train. To Ohio, around the spring of 1825 they had four children under the age of 5. They heard of free land in Ohio, during this time most of Ohio, was still a wilderness.
