I saw this on the home page as a featured LO. It is wonderful. The train paper and the gears are so creative. I don't know how I missed it as well. Outstanding LO of your Uncle. He was quite a man.
oh cool! my dad had an uncle that did the watch and clock upkeep for the railroad. when they changed over to modern clocks he bought a bunch of the key wind clocks and offered them for sale to his family members, mom and dad got one and it hangs in their home.
I have scraped Uncle George before with his brother-in-law. Both uncles were RR conductors. He is Hattie's husband. Their daughter who is 95 years old recently allowed me to scan her photos. I never see a pocket watch without thinking of my Great Uncles.
