Today Kitty is getting the household ready to celebrate Thanksgiving in the US. For her, it starts off with a salute to the very beginnings of Thanksgiving tradition.

The first Thanksgiving feast was held in the Autumn of 1621 between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag in celebration of the colony's first successful harvest.

Today, we prepare by dressing Kitty in traditional Pilgrim wear and popping a turkey feathered tail on her - to symbolize the traditional food many of us eat in the US on this holiday. This day is also one for giving thanks for the bountiful blessings around us. I remain thankful that Kitty puts up with such shenanigans in letting us dress her up.

Kitty is not too pleased about the tail feathers, though I think she looks grand. Almost good enough to gobble right up.

This was created for the Flying Unicorns and uses Marion Smith papers as well as Prima Marketing flowers and leaves.

Miss Kitty wishes you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day to those celebrating, and a giant THANKS for stopping here for everyone.
