This is a lo I did as a lift of the lo found here http://www.pinterest.com/pin/217932069441174784/

This is my lo for the DECEMBER ONE PIC Challenge and for the DECEMBER HOARDERS CHALLENGE and the DECEMBER ~FOUR CATEGORIES CHALLENGE Category Four ~ Theme: Holiday Magic with the twist of stitching

I have a lot of really old supplies on this lo: cork alphas, charms, metal word piece, the metal circle around the date, the tag behind the pic, the tiny alphas for "Christmas", the Anna Griffin(?) journaling block. Not quite as old are the brads, the sequins, and phrase tag. The sticker, Dew Drops, Tim Holtz paperclip and TH alpha "D" are more recent, but still many months (or a couple of years) old.

The green background pp is from a pad from WM by Colorbok...it's called something like Watercolor Bright Splashes.

For the background, I turned the paper over and drew a grid on the back. Then I used a craft knife to cut along each drawn line...almost to each intersection and almost to the edge of the paper. This allowed the pager to still be easily handled, while I added the adhesive around the edge and a little adhesive to the center of each square. I adhered the cut page to a solid piece of similar paper, then finished the cut to each intersection. Since I wanted the squares to curl up a little bit, I misted the paper, manipulated the squares a little and let it dry. Then I ran a sanding sponge over each cut line. Instead of stitching, I used my paper piercer and stitching ruler and pierced lines of holes. Then I used my paper piercer and lightly scratched along the pierced lines to give the idea of stitching.
