Beautiful Terri - faving this one! As usual, your symmetry is outstanding! I love it! I try to mimic it and just can't do it! Are the little dots brads or the brownish recollection pearls? Whichever, I love the way you have used them on this layout! Very nice!
We entered the house and our first view was the gorgeous hand-painted murals of a sugar cane field on the walls of the hall. On the wall hung a 1847 census map of the plantations in the area. During the Civil War, the owner claimed the Houmas House was British so sparing it from destruction. Th map clearly showed the opposite and it is the reason the map was found hidden in the attic. We toured the library and music room. The clock is reputed to have been acquired by Napoleon from the estate of Marie Antoinette. The dining room was decorated for fall. The gentlemen gaming room was interesting. Men gambled thousands of dollars on cards and billiards. The women had fun too. The canisters of arsenic, hashish, opium and morphine was for them. I would have to be stoned too if I wore a whalebone corset and 17 petticoats! TFL!
This is for hoarders and scraps challenge.
