Congrats Scrappy Marie! That is great to put away after. So far, I am still putting away - only 10 days so far, but I have completed a baby album, some hockey die cuts (100's), a page, now working to finish some 12 more albums by end of next week. Putting away each night is hard, but I have the before pic to reference and the energy has shown up :).
Thetadocz - I almost didn't post, but did have this before pic. Once done, I posted. You can do it - it just takes putting one thing away, then another, then another. Continue building on that. Just clearing this area has made a huge difference in my attitude towards scrapping. I don't always want to clear up, but I do - don't want to end up with this again :). Good luck! It is possible.
Wow, looks like my studio! It started with a few things left on top of my workspace. Then I got sick and when I had something that needed to go anywhere in the room, but was too tired to do it, it was easy to just add it to the pile. How quickly it became a mountain! I just signed up for the organization course and thought "there is no way I am posting a picture of my mess". I thought it had to be the worst out there! You are brave! Thank you for posting - it showed me there is hope!! I can't wait to get to work on it now.
I can't believe you got all that done in 4 hours, great job! I never liked the big bin idea and thankfully didn't do it. My New Years resolution - put everything away after each project. 17 days and going strong (only finished 1 project).
I just looked up what those are. Very cool idea, but I don't think I have table space for something like that. I have 8' of work space and am pretty greedy about keeping it open for work area. Especially now that it is cleaned. However, after watching the video - I do have room for a few binders on my shelf - I may use parts of that idea. Thanks :)!
My type of heaven!!!!! I love to organize things and others people things, wish I could help ya. ;-) Good luck, what fun to organize and find what treasures you have to get inspired!
Thanks - I signed up for the free class already - that is why this photo is posted. I am progressing. Just sorting like with like right now (and doing some projects and writing down if I like where things are or not). Oh - and this is bad? None of that is my paper. It is a lot of projects in-process, ideas, samples, swaps and magazines. My paper storage is actually my favorite part of my room. I can locate a particular sheet of paper in less than 1 minute 95% of the time.
Oh, I have to say that when I first looked at this pic, it made my eye hurt. But, then I looked at it again and saw "potential"! You do have a ton of paper and it needs help. There is a Free class here online at SB.com, "Get organized in 27 lessons"! Just click above on Classes then again on Get Organized. Great stuff in there.
I took this class last year and it totally gave me the structure I needed to get my studio in order. Now, I love to go down to my studio and am able to spend hours there. Good luck!
For some reason, it's not hard for us to get to this point....I use photo storage boxes for all my smaller things. When my work area gets so bad I can't find what I know is there I force myself to organize again:)Good luck, I'm sure you'll lots of great stuff:)
before - ever feel overwhelmed? I had a cancellation that allowed me four hours to start putting things away. Still have to organize, but everything seen in the photo has now been sorted into like things. And - I found my tabletop!
