Those big black eyes and 'radar' ears...What else can I say? I loved the colors in Kaisercraft's Lavendar Haze collection because it mixes pastels with deep black. Cutting wavy shapes in varying sizes and gluing to the edge of the main page add the illusion of a page underneath. Using the EK Success punch "Scroll & Hearts" I punched paper from the Lavendar Haze collection and used only the little punched out hearts that are normally thrown away. I put them inside a corked bottle and placed it just below the photo (hence, captured hearts) hee hee. I ink-stenciled dots onto the page using two shades in the purple family of colors. Outlining the letters with Ranger's Glossy Accents make them appear 3D and also very shiny. The baby blue metal heart flower with the 'sweet' block are from Michael's Recollections. The chartreuse jeweled leaves were found in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby. I enjoy scrapbooking what I feel. This photo made me feel colorful. I also pick the paper to go with the photo - not the opposite. I find it much more enjoyable 'feeling' what I'm scrapping and trying to show case the photo and not the embellishments. Embellishments to me are to simply enhance the photo. And I want you to be able to actually automatically see the photo and not have to search for it among an overload of embellishments. That is how I scrap. Thanks for viewing my fun layout! Have a good one! Lisa
