This months beautiful sketch over at Dusty Attic, made by DT-member Nadia Cannizzo, really inspired me! I just had to use the brand new String of Hearts (DA1017). Such an amazing chipboard piece and you can use it in so many ways. The best thing is, you get three sizes! I have used the larger one on my layout.
I cut a piece of the Heart of Strings off (saving it for another project!) and painted it white. I used a distress tool to rough up the edges and decorated with pearls.
Underneath the large flowercluster I have used a Scroll Border #1 (DA0219), also painted white. The green flowers are Dusty in Blooms, color Wild Moss (DA0804).
As a final touch I have added Chevrons (DA0992), painted white and then with Dusty in Color Forrest (DA0919) and Clear Gloss Varnish (DA0901). I often use gesso to touch the edges of my flowers, but this time I used a sponge and some Dusty in Color Forrest to add some green to the large white flower.
