This is a photo frame I found at a thrift store. It looked old, the wood was blonde with a beveled front. It had what I call a kick stand in the back to sit on top of a table. I took the back and glass off and decided to use the back instead of the front. This allowed for more depth to embellish. There is heavy tape on the back to strengthen and not tear the adhered paper. I will put the back on ( really the front ) so I can use it on my dresser later. I darkened the frame abit with stain as I liked the wood look. I didn't want to cover the wood or paint it so I cut some printed velvet ribbon pieces between the embellishments to add contrast. I used G45 Ladies Diary collection, Prima resin angels and various other trinkets and some jewelry pieces. I have been wanting to do an altered frame and there are so many gorgeous ones out there that inspired me. Also, 48SixTimes beautiful altered BD gift to Somewhere In Time inspired me as well. It wasn't a frame of course but wow what a gorgeous altered project. I so appreciate you stopping in to take a peek and your comments mean alot to me.
