I created this layout using a photo of my Son when he was just 2 months old, dressed up in his little bear suit. I had never thought to scrap it before, because the background in the photo always put me off. Then a couple of weeks ago I decided to give it a try by cutting out his silhouette. I have used this technique before with art journal pages, but not a layout. I love this photo.... it's just so cute, and the layout turned out better than I ever could have hoped. I didn't think I could Make it as dimensional as i usually do..... yet it turned out to be the most dimensional piece I have ever created.... The highest point is about 2 and a half inches of the page!!! I love it.... there are just so many layers. Not just on top, but underneath too, some of which you can't actually see unless you are looking at the close-ups. It's one of my fave's and I plan to frame it. As you can see the page itself doesn't actually have a title on it. This is because when I look at this page I can see and imagine different things, an ice palace, a snowy winter garden.... a little snow bear. All children have amazing imaginations and I thought it would be nice to create a piece that invokes my own imagination. For lots of close-ups of all the layers and hidden details, please visit my blog jacquelinemoore89.blogspot.com
I hope I have inspired you with this piece. Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments and votes. They truly make my day. Xoxo
