When I saw this precious vintage photo on Pinterest, I just HAD to scrapbook it! This portrait of Evelyn Nesbit Thaw with her son, Russell, was taken in 1913. I converted it to sepia color. In her time, Evelyn was a ‘super model' with a unique story. I will scrap more of her during the height of her career because her beauty is astounding.
I chose to use Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics No. IX as the main page for the LO and No. IV for the background papers under the photo and also as the insert in the curled back piece at the top of the page. Martha Stewart's Doily Lace punch added some daintiness to the LO. The title chipboard letters are by Kaisercraft that were coated in Chestnut Brown pigment ink and then touched up with Distress Stickles ‘Vintage Photo'. White lace was re-colored with Lindy's beautiful Starburst spray ‘Amaryllis Burgundy'. The butterflies are from the Prima Fairy Belle Collection and are coated in ‘Clear Rock Candy' Distress Stickles. Dark brown stick-on pearls were added to their bodies. The extra cool vintage, real leather buttons are part of the stash that my dear mother, now deceased, had in her sewing drawer.
Alcohol ink colors, ‘Espresso' used to color the pearl strand next to the photo and ‘Currant' used to color the pearl flourish, really coordinated well with the color scheme of the main page. The brown flower and mini metal buckle slider are Spare Parts by The Paper Studio found at Hobby Lobby. The vintage safety pin and hand mirror are Bead Landing found at Michael's. All of the remaining flowers are by Prima. The blue cabochon is Martha Stewart.
Thank you so much for viewing my LO. Have a very happy day! Lisa : )
