This layout is done for 7 Dots Studio's challenge "Fly Away". The first images that popped into my mind while thinking about the subject were wing drawings by Da Vinci. As I was thinking how he studied mechanics of flying the mental images of wings were morphed into having gears, springs and pulleys.

So when I started creating, I grabbed a paper from the Nature Walk collection and some pens and started to draw a huge wing. At that point I already knew which photo I would use that went with the theme – it’s a ring my father gave me when I graduated. It’s like a piece of armor, made out of silver.

It felt so good to just draw! I drew first a few pencil guidelines but quickly changed into Pitt Pens. I was just the other day talking to my friend how the lack of fear to fail is a powerful thing. I had no idea if my vision would transform into a layout or not, but that didn't keep me from trying. The first pen strokes looked awfull, but I just kept going and I think the end result isn't that bad!

Done as a DT for 7 Dots Studio.
