You did a great job working with that pink color and keeping the theme of Fire Nation. (which I know nothing about). Love how you are framed in the ironwork gate. Very pretty!
Ok so, where to begin here...this costume wasn't actually suppose to be, well, this costume. As fitting the name of the piece, Fire Nation (the title of the epica piece were dancing to along with the theme to the show "Game of Thrones"), the costume was a red and black poofy ballet dress. This sat fine with me because, as the ballet class' resident "Game of Thrones" fan, red and black are the colors of House Targaryen. The same house is know for dragons and dragons breathe fire so it all made good sense to me. That was, until the costume was back ordered, and we were given this ice gray and pink...thing. In my head, the icy gray was fine since House Stark's colors are icy white and gray (and the dress has white underskirts). The pink though, that threw me for a loop. There are no houses in Game of Thrones that have pink as their colors. Ok, the floral design on the dress, I can maybe forgive since House Tyrell has a flower on their sigil but it's not a pink flower. I was even further baffled by the studio's insistence on keeping the title of the group ballet "Fire Nation" as the costume had little to do with anything fire related. They should have just called it "Game of Thrones" or something else since the audience is going to recognize the "Game of Thrones" theme that opens the ballet. (I was going to try to do this layout in more fire related colors but they didn't match the stupid pink on the dress.)
