I have to agree with your hubby! My sister and I had clowns that my grandma made us and after seeing the movie Poltergeist, we buried in the bottom of the garbage and threw them away because we were afraid they would come alive and get us!! Great colors and love the brad on here though :)
While this card is really awesome, I have to agree with your husband....clowns are really creepy! But....you can feel the birthday happiness in this card!
Inside: Wishing you a Happy Birthday with lots of clowning around.
Our friends daughter is having her 11th birthday party tomorrow and she is having a clown theme. My husband is not excited....doesn't like clowns...thinks they are creepy. So this has been a fun adventure for the adults too with all the jokes and videos and stuff going on about clowns!
The birthday girl asked Aunt Kathy (we adopt our friends kids!) to help design her birthday invitations. So I found clown images and she picked one and then together we design the invitation...which I forgot to take a picture so I hopes to get a picture tomorrow. Then Aunt Kathy got all the pieces together and the birthday girl put the invitations together herself! Proud Aunt moment! So this is another clown in the clown set that the birthday girl liked.... so I made it her birthday card. Then I hope to make Thank You card kits with another clown that she can make to send out to her guest. That will be part of her present as I made her a starter kit for her since she likes card making. I got her a carry bag with scissors, glue dots, scor-tape, adhesive gun, ink for inking, pop dots.
Challenges: 1) May Card Sketch Challenge @ scrapbook.com - Sketch #5 2) Seize the Birthday Challenge - topping: flowers - Make a birthday card and if you want use the topping but you don't have to. I did flowers...clown holding some, flower brads, flower die cut.
