Argostoli, Greece, Page 3 - Sheep & Goats everywhere!

Thursday, May 2 – Welcome to Argostoli! What a beautiful Greek Island! We joined Jon and Gina Bruce from the ship and shared a cab for a wonderful tour the island.

We stopped to take pictures with a herd of sheep – there were so many sheep in Argostoli. And goats. The sides of the rocks and cliffs were dotted with goats.

We went to Melissani which means “Cave of the Nymps”. While Jon and Bill were in the long line to buy our tickets for the boat ride through the cave Gina and I explored the pretty little cemetery next to the lake.

Most of the graves had a glassed in case at the head with pictures and mementos inside. Very interesting – I had never seen that before and neither had Gina.
