This is a 12 x 12 layout that I made last year as a wedding gift for my granddaughter. The quote is one that I felt was perfect for a couple getting married. I cut each the letters out 4 times and adhered them together. After doing a couple of these, I figured out a relatively simple method for putting these together and getting everything straight. I happen to have a printer that will print 12 x 12 paper, so I printed the quote out where I wanted it (with the right spacing) in a VERY light grey color. That made adhering the letters much easier...and keeping everything straight. I had trimmed the edges of the white down 1/2 inch on each side then backed it with a piece of dark red card stock. The heart was made by scanning in the definition for "love", then printing it repeatedly on an 8.5 x 11 paper, then I cut 25-30 hearts from the printed papers and stitched them down the middle, fluffing up the layers after stitching. For a finishing touch, I added a red bling heart on the layout. The layout was framed in a black shadowbox frame. It really turned out lovely.
