This is my favorite picture of my mom. It always sat on a table at my grandmother's house until she passed away and then I kept it. It was taken right after my mom finished college and she was working as a buyer for the Crescent Department Store. She isn't actually wearing a black dress in the picture - it's just a piece of black velvet they draped on her. The necklace was borrowed from the photographer.
