I'm so excited to finally have this finished and in my scrap room! Poor guy started this last October, then “real world” work got crazy, so it's been under construction for 9 months! LOL! This all started with my request to build another worksurface area for my scrap room - then the two of us started brainstorming, and finally settled on this design. My scraproom is also full of supplies for other crafts, but as you can see by the rest of the photos, most of the room is taken up with scrapping things…the other craft supplies are in the closet, which dh has adapted to be floor-to-ceiling shelving.

Photo 1 is the full front view of the new cabinet - it's 39“ high, so it's a perfect stand-up worksurface height for me. Beneath the top work surface are two pull-out work surfaces. On the right side are two 12X12 file drawers. Behind the center doors, there are two pull-out ribbon storage drawers, a deeper ”miscellaneous large embellishments“ drawer where I've put clear bins of embellishments, and on the bottom, storage for my albums, pages under construction, work for the paper company, etc. The left side is 8 drawers (WhoooHooooo! - it was originally 4 deeper drawers, but I got that ”change order“ in before dh had started that side…LOL!)that hold my mounted stamps, inks, embossing powders, and other miscellaneous stamping supplies.

Photo 2 shows both extended work surfaces pulled out completely. Most of the time, I'll be working with one or the other pulled out, as a ”L“ shape.

Photo 3 shows the top paper file drawer extended. I have all my 12X12 cardstock in the bottom drawer, and the 12X12 papers in the top drawer. I used to have a MM 12X12 file cabinet, so dh used the drawers from it (less the front panel) and we gave the shell of the old cabinet to a neighbor for the kids' toychest..heehee. (While I was ”storing“ these papers in boxes waiting for the cabinet, I used 4 boxes to store the paper folders that are being held in these two drawers…they're quite deep).

Photo 4 is the center section pic, and Photo 5 shows a close-up of the ribbon storage.

Photo 6 is a pic of one of the stamp drawers. I LOVE that I can store my mounted stamps one-high…I can open the drawers and see all my stamps at a glance…and keep them clean!

Photo 7 is a close-up of the laminate that covers all three worksurfaces. This was the first time dh and I had done any laminating, and we were surprised at how easy it was!

Photo 8 is a view of 1/2 of my 11X10 scrap room, aka ”KathysKorner" (taken from the doorway looking in). Photo 9 shows the other side of the room…where my PC is, and where I do most of my work. (Yep…the tv is on, but I have it on Sirius Radio today…LOL!) We still have some computer wiring to clean up, but other than that, it's clean and ready to be messed up again…heehee…TFL!!! Kathy
