Daniel’s Project SwapCherish Time ProjectMy project is for Daniel. I am usually a card and a scrapbook doer. But Daniel’s challenges and projects for Daniel - make me want to do more. He is such an artist and he inspires me. So when I got his name as a swap mate - I had to oil up the thinking and artistic gears. Here is what I created for Daniel. The project is a 2013 Calender - with the theme of Cherish Time Vintage theme.First layer is a sheet of 12 x 12 cardboard for strength and then I layered on a sheet of vintage kraft paper with newspaper print featuring a circus.I order on line a digital calender for the full year and using another piece of cardboard for strength mounted the calender on another sheet of vintage beige and brown old cursive paper, back card stock, and distressed the calender page with Antique Linen and Tattered Rose distress Ink. Stamped the numbers for 2013, die cut and attached. I distressed edges of numbers, writing papers and main background paper. Added a vintage style clock brad from hoarding material. Then for the pop effect - added a golden ornament butterfly; two embellishments form a vintage clock stickers sheet - the time flutters by and the clock, with hands. I used double sided foam tape to give 3 d effect.Using gold stickles - I added gold flakes to it all. The last stamped image was from my drawer of sentiment stamps -so I stamped it on black with gold ink and also distressed a little with the gold ink. ( The gold stickles are difficult to see in the picture, but they added a lovely effect in real life.Every item that I used came from supplies I had on hand. Nothing new was purchased. I am very pleased with how it turned out. There are five stamped images - the number of the year and the cherish stamp.
