He takes care to place every mini-fig in its proper place. He also alters his walkers and flyers to make new creations for his battles (this, of course, drives me nuts because he’ll never be able to put them back to the way they came). The battle scene can (and frequently does) take up half the living room carpet). And the little pieces get left out everywhere! And they hurt when we step on them in bare feet! Once the bases are set up, he calls us over to point out all the important details. And he really does pay attention to detail (most bases even have a toilet now, much to his delight!). Then the battle begins. A few droids get knocked over (SHHHHOOM!), then a few clones (CRACK!). A few more droids (SHHOOP! BONK!). Over and over, until there are a few clones remaining - they always win in the end.
