“0-25 in nothing flat” is a summary of my life thus far as a quarter century approaches fast.

Idea:
I have wanted for a long time to create a layout where I could use half of my face from childhood and half from adulthood to create one face, a combination of who I was and who I am. I had fun choosing pictures to convey this timeline. In case you can’t tell in this image, the 0 to 25 is meant to look like a speedometer, going with the theme of the fast movement of time. There is a hidden journal tags behind each of the seven timeline pictures which I have used to recall specific memories and growth.

Product:
The paper is all SEI retrospect with the exception of minimal black cardstock. The clock hands and face are Nostalgiques. The numbers are MM simply stated rub-on alphabets. The mini snaps are also MM. The metal letters are MM, and the font of the words “in” and “flat” is 39 smooth.

Journaling is on seven hidden tags and reads:
In 1979, Amy Miller met the world in the loving arms of Mommy and Daddy. This would be the first of many adventures.
When I was growing up, family times were best at the lake. Everyone would pile into 2 station wagons, sitting on coolers and next to snapping dogs, but it was all worth it when we got to the lake.
Stop and smell the roses, they say, but I hope I’ve done more than that, smelling ALL the flowers, examining bugs, noticing the colors the sun paints on closed eyelids in the garden.
I grew up a gymnast, bounding around and quoting the movie, Nadia. Clowning around was a performance adventure. I learned to walk on stilts that my dad built for me.
I have always enjoyed Halloween, esp. the homemade costumes. One year my sister actually dressed as a bag of dog food. It’s fun to pretend to be something new.
The class of 1997, makes its way into the world, and I was ready to do just that. Leaving behind the safety of my youth, I moved to Sonoma to earn a degree and meet myself.
In 2004, I went off to see the world. On a short two week break, I visited France, England and Ireland, with Pam and some Rachel. There is so much more to see.

Thanks for looking!
